Privacy Policy

Pearl & Healer, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) explains here how we handle information through our Base44-hosted website, customer communications, and digital and paper questionnaires, including those used at markets and events. Our initial sales activity is directed to the United States. Contact us at hello@pearlandhealer.com about privacy questions or requests.

If you email, call, or complete a questionnaire, we receive the information you choose to share. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, messages, product interests, and feedback about your dog's routines or size. If questionnaire responses are linked to your identity, we treat them as personal information associated with your interaction with us.

Questionnaires are market research, not clinical studies or veterinary assessments. Participation is voluntary; optional questions may be left unanswered. Please do not send sensitive human medical information, payment-card credentials, or unnecessary information about other people.

The website currently provides email and telephone contact links. It does not currently offer an online contact-submission form, customer accounts, checkout, recurring subscriptions, or journal downloads. Clicking an email or telephone link uses your email or phone service; it does not by itself register you for marketing.

Footer email sign-up. The site footer includes an email sign-up field. If you enter your email address and check the consent box, we store your email address, the date you signed up, the fact that you consented to marketing, and where on the site you signed up. We use this information only to send occasional updates about new Lab Notes and product availability. The sign-up is separate from purchases and questionnaires, which do not subscribe you to marketing. You can withdraw at any time by emailing us; we record the withdrawal and exclude unsubscribed addresses from future sends.

The website is hosted on Base44. Hosting providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser/device details, requested pages, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs as part of delivering and protecting the service. Disabling app-level analytics does not establish that platform-level logging or cookies are absent.

Platform page-view logging. Base44 sends page-view requests when visitors access this website. These include an application identifier and a page label derived from the URL. This logging operates separately from analytics configured by Pearl & Healer. We have not yet verified whether these requests include cookies or whether Google Analytics operates on visitor-facing pages. See Base44's Privacy Policy for its platform practices.

Pearl & Healer has not independently added Google Analytics or Meta Pixel to this site. Cookie and technical-data handling can depend on platform configuration and browser settings. You can use browser controls to manage cookies, although restricting necessary storage may affect functionality.

We use information to respond to inquiries, understand customer interests, improve our offerings, manage business records and customer service, and meet applicable obligations. If you separately choose to receive product news or launch updates, we use the contact information you supply for that purpose. A questionnaire response alone does not subscribe you to marketing.

Information may be processed by providers that support website hosting, business email and communications, and record storage. We may disclose relevant information to professional advisers, when required by law or lawful process, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer subject to applicable requirements. Provider systems may operate in the United States or other countries.

To ask about your information or request access, correction, or deletion, contact hello@pearlandhealer.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law. Additional rights may apply depending on your location and the laws applicable to our business.

If you have opted into marketing emails, use the unsubscribe option in the message or email us to withdraw. Necessary service messages and replies to your requests may still be sent. If you submit a questionnaire anonymously, we may not be able to identify your particular response later.

We retain information as reasonably needed for its purpose, business records, and applicable legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the information and the reason it is held. Provider backups may follow separate retention practices. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Our site and questionnaires are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied information. External websites have their own privacy practices.

We will update this policy and its effective date as practices change and provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
